Daito Trust Construction named to CDP A List of highest rated companies for CDP Forests and CDP Water Security

On February 7, Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd. was named to the A List for CDP Forests and CDP Water Security by CDP, a leading NGO in the field of environmental disclosure. The A List is a list of companies rated highest in CDP evaluations.
We also earned a B for CDP Climate Change.
The Daito Group established its medium- to long-term environmental target, the DAITO 2050 Environmental Vision, in 2020, to set forth strategies and goals for activities related to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and to the RE100 and EP100 initiatives.
As a leader in corporate environmental initiatives, we will continue to contribute to realizing a sustainable world.

CDP, an NGO established in Great Britain in 2000, is among the world’s leading ESG ratings agencies for corporate GHG emissions reductions and climate change strategy. It promotes corporate environmental disclosure and environmental activities by gathering, analyzing, and evaluating information on the environmental activities of leading companies around the world and disclosing the results to institutional investors.
We earned an A, the highest grade on CDP’s eight-grade scale (A, A-, B, B-, C, C-, D, D-). In fiscal 2024, more than 24,800 companies worldwide and 2,100 in Japan took part in the CDP survey.

■The Daito Group’s initiatives
In areas covered by CDP Forests, as a supplier of wooden housing, we identify biodiversity conservation and sustainable wood procurement as important management topics. Related initiatives include wood due diligence based on our Wood Procurement Guidelines and joint efforts with suppliers to improve the sustainable wood procurement rate.
In areas covered by CDP Water Security, we focus on efforts to preserve water resources and to use them effectively. These include installing water-saving and hot water-saving equipment as standard in the housing we supply and appropriately managing water discharge at the Asago Biomass Power Plant.
The Group will continue striving to identify solutions to environmental issues through its business activities.
