Daito Trust Construction named to CDP A List in CDP Climate Change and CDP Forests

On December 10, Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd. (head office: Tokyo, Japan) underwent evaluations by CDP for 2025, and was named to the A List, the highest CDP evaluation grade, for CDP Climate Change and CDP Forests as well as the A- List for CDP Water Security.

Last year, we were named to the A List for CDP Forests and CDP Water Security. This marks the second consecutive year in which we were named to the A List under two themes.
The Daito Group established Daito 2050 Environmental Vision, its medium- to long-term environmental targets, in 2020, under which the Group advances initiatives based on three perspectives: achievement of a decarbonized society, migration to a circular economy, and biodiversity conservation.
As a leader in corporate environmental initiatives, the Daito Group will continue to contribute to achieving a sustainable society through its business activities.

■About CDP
CDP is an international environmental nonprofit organization established in the United Kingdom in 2000. It evaluates and promotes initiatives by major global companies and local governments in areas such as response to climate change, water resource management, and forest conservation. It gathers, analyzes, and evaluates information on leading companies and discloses the results to institutional investors. We were named to the A List, the highest grade on CDP’s eight-grade scale (A, A-, B, B-, C, C-, D, D-). In 2024, over 24,800 companies worldwide responded to the CDP survey. In Japan, over 2,100 companies, 70% of which are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market, took part in the survey.
■The Daito Group’s initiatives
In areas covered by CDP Climate Change, we are striving to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by our business activities through means such as the use of low-emissions gas-powered company vehicles and expanded use of renewable energy through biomass power generation.
We also aim to reduce GHG emissions throughout building life cycles and are advancing supplier engagement to expand the adoption of low-carbon materials. Furthermore, we will expand the use of eco-friendly residences, including ZEH and LCCM rental housing.
In areas covered by CDP Forests, as a supplier of wooden buildings, we have identified sustainable wood procurement as a key management issue. Related initiatives include due diligence regarding wood products based on our Wood Procurement Guidelines, and joint efforts with suppliers to improve the percentage of sustainable wood procurement.
